Lyndsay Rogers is an educator with a heart for learning in every sense of the word. More than twenty years in elementary classrooms have solidified her passion for teaching students. The past 9 years coaching and training classroom teachers have further built her commitment to helping both teachers and students succeed. It is with that passion that she hopes to continue this work with you.
Ms. Rogers' areas of expertise include teaching the process of reading to young readers--placing importance on the building blocks of early literacy such as Phonological Awareness, Phonics, word attack, strategic thinking, metacognitive strategies, and comprehension. Extensively trained in growing readers through effective practices that include a variety of instructional strategies, she looks forward to sharing her passion and learning with your students and teachers.
Teaching children to be lifelong learners and thinkers while fostering their independence is the cornerstone of her work. Ms. Rogers is a fervent believer in the concept of Growth Mindset. Growth mindset is the belief that a person's abilities can be developed through hard work and effort. She subscribes to the idea that failure does not exist--failure is simply feedback that leads to learning and growth.
Ms. Rogers' genuine belief that all students can learn and deserve the best opportunities to do so fuel her desire to coach teachers as well as students.
