Lyndsay Rogers Founder, Teacher, Trainer
Lyndsay Rogers is an educator with a heart for learning in every sense of the word. Fifteen years in elementary classrooms have solidified her passion for teaching students. The past 3 years coaching and training classroom teachers have even further built her commitment to helping both teachers and students succeed. It is with that passion that she hopes to continue this work for you.
Ms. Rogers' areas of expertise include teaching the process of reading to early readers--placing importance on the building blocks such as Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, word attack, strategic thinking and comprehension. Extensively trained in conferring with readers through one-on-one instruction, Guided Reading, Phonics, and even Dyslexia, she looks forward to sharing her passion and learning with your students and teachers. Certified Early Childhood-4 in the State of Texas with additional certification in English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented programs.
Teaching children to be lifelong learners and thinkers and fostering their independence is the cornerstone of her work. Ms. Rogers has become a fervent believer in the concept of Growth Mindset. Growth mindset is the belief that a person's abilities can be developed through hard work and effort. She also subscribes to the idea that failure does not exist--failure is simply learning and leads to growth.
A parent as well, Ms. Rogers understands that sometimes there is a need for a person who can help you understand and navigate all those acronyms your child's teacher keeps mentioning. Or one who can give some gentle guidance in understanding the systems and information that schools use to make decisions regarding students. Her genuine belief that all students can learn and deserve the best opportunities to do so fuel her desire to help parents as well.
